My favorite part of any award show is the arrivals. Watching all the looks on the red carpet is so much fun. Below we have listed our favorite outfits from last night’s 2015 Emmys. What do you think? Who was your best dressed?
Amy Poehler– I love her new dark hair as well the clean silhouette and modern cut of her dress. However, what really sets this look apart is the bangles. Metal and wood accessories are something you don’t see often on the red carpet. Amy looks like the life of party.
Also, we couldn’t talk about Amy without mentioning her #SmartGirlsAsk campaign. This twitter initiative is geared at getting people to ask women more intellectually stimulating questions than what designer they are wearing. Check it out on twitter.
Claire Danes– Love the chains! It’s unexpected and bold.
Taraji P. Henson- What can I say? Chains and dress cutouts are in and I love it!
Evan Peters- It can be hard to pick a good men’s look on the red carpet. All the men are stunning in a black suit, white shirt, and black tie or bow tie. I love when a man branches out from this award show standard. Evan Peters looks great in all black. His outfit screams sophistication while standing out from the crowd.
Gwendoline Christie– I am so used to seeing Gwendoline as the bad ass knight, Brienne of Tarth, in Game of Thrones that this look took me completely by surprise! She looks stunning in this flowing pastel gown. I also adore her retro waves. Well done!
Danielle Brooks- There are so many dark and pale dresses on the red carpet. This dress with its bright, bold colors really stands out.
Eric Stonestreet– What can I say? I’m a sucker for polka dots. Also, love the hint of blue in his breast pocket. It’s the details that make an outfit.
Aubrey Plaza– I love this look! It’s so retro sexy.
Sarah Hyland– Sarah looks so sophisticated and grown up in this gown. The maroon color is just amazing on her.
Johnny Ortiz- If you are going to be a rebel and wear jeans to a formal event, this is how you do it.
Amanda Peet– This was my favorite look of the night! Amanda has the modern cutout but rocks it with a ball gown and perfect red lip. It is the perfect mix of modern and classic.
Teyonah Parris– This is the most classic look on my best dressed list. The cut and fabric of this ball gown keeps the dress light and airy and the polka dots add a fun twist.
