Hello, Readers! This post is going up for Monday on a Tuesday because we had a long weekend, YAY! I’m not sure what you did or if you were lucky enough to have Monday off but I spent the day, not doing anything. This made it very hard to come up with a post idea. However, I did spend the weekend blowing through my paycheck and shopping with my mother. What made the shopping enjoyable was that it was necessary buys.
The first few things I got completed a look I was creating for a job interview, despite working in the retail industry I had very few shirts that worked well with my business slacks. Despite trying keep costs down on the shirt I ended up falling in love with this amazingly green, burgundy and white tartan print tank, ASTR Mock Neck Print Swing Tank (c0lor not available online).
I paired it with a necklace was a little more affordable from Francesca’s, the Simone Pendant Necklace. What makes this necklace a great buy, was its similarity to more expensive brands such as Madewell.
For my second interview, I kept the look very similar look, with a simple black top, Black Thalia Faux Suede Tank from Francesca’s, which I was able to switch easily up after the interview to make it work appropriate.
For this top, I bought a simple, white elephant necklace from Francesca’s (not available online)
My mom based shopping, involved a lot of essentials from Victoria Secret. While the 7 for $27 on panties and the additional $10 off a bra when you do the 7 for $27 was fantastic and well worth the trip, showing you what I got is not something I am willing to do on the internet, so I am moving on to next awesome thing my mother so nicely got me, black booties.
These are something I have wanted for awhile but weren’t able to find a pair in my personal price range that I loved or thought would last. Because it was a holiday weekend, there were some incredible sales at the mall. Macy’s is a store I haven’t shopped at in awhile and was honestly surprised to find that the shoes I ended up liking the most came from their Alfani brand.
