What’s in My Mini Bag

I am a major fan of my mini Rebekah Minkoff bag, I wear it almost every day, and while  I get compliments on the bag itself, people just love to comment on the size. The other day, I got into a conversation on how to pack a smaller bag with a girl at my work. That conversation inspired this what’s in my bag post.

A mini bag means that you can’t carry one of those remarkable statement wallets with you. To adapt to the small size, try using a card case. I love my card case, as it minimizes the number of store cards and cash I can carry and therefore spend.

While the case I have is a couple years old, here is a link to the current card cases available at Coach

My sister, Rachel, gave me this Cinderella mirror as a gift.  It is one of my necessary carries for fixes to make up on the go. The compact easily slips into the bag’s narrow frame.

3. Pop Up Brush

Windy days, gym trips, and running late for work can mean little to no time to get ready. An easy trick is to carry a small and compact brush so that your hair always looks clean and put together. Sometimes you can even get one that is a compact mirror, brush combo.

Dot By Marc Jacobs my favorite scent, I have been using it for the past couple of years. Unfortunately living in a hot desert climate means that Perfumes do not always last long. Small roll on tubes are not just essential to keep an incredible scent, but also because their small size works well for purses and travel (many falls under TSA guidelines).  They are also safer to carry than the larger bottles that can break open.

Keeping with the theme of keeping it fresh and clean: Mascara. Most girls pack along eye liners, but in the dry heat and with my unfortunate habit of rubbing my eyes, the safer bet for striking eyes is Mascara. I wear it often without eyeliner.

Another trick to keeping your eyes bright and clean looking is a simple nude eye shadow. The brand I use has a little shine that helps make eyes look more open and awake.

My last item is something no bag should ever be without, chapstick. This item is useful for not only for keeping your lips soft, but a simple swipe right underneath your brow will make your eyes look larger, brighter, and more awake.
